In an inspiring initiative to blend environmental consciousness with adventure, the MLCU NSS in collaboration with the Ka Synjuk Ki Hima Arliang Mawphlang Welfare Society successfully organized a Cleaning Drive & Trekking Event at the iconic David Scott Trail. This event, held on 26-03-2025 was a remarkable display of teamwork and dedication as participants worked together to clean and preserve the natural beauty of the trail.
The David Scott Trail, a popular heritage trail, is known for its breathtaking views and historical significance. Volunteers from MLCU and the local community of Hima Mawphlang and Hima Mawbeh gathered to enjoy the scenic trek while also taking action to reduce pollution and keep the trail pristine. Throughout the event, volunteers picked up waste, cleared debris, and raised awareness about the importance of environmental stewardship.
This drive was not only about cleaning but also about educating and inspiring individuals to take active steps in preserving our natural surroundings. It highlighted the role each person can play in keeping our environment clean and sustainable for future generations.
The success of this initiative is a testament to the passion and hard work of the volunteers who came together for a cause that affects us all. A heartfelt thank you goes to every individual who participated and contributed to the success of the day. Your commitment to the environment and the community is truly commendable!
We are proud of the collective effort and the positive impact it has had on our natural heritage. MLCU NSS remains committed to promoting sustainable practices and will continue organizing events that empower students and communities to take part in preserving the environment.
