The program started with the welcome address delivered by the Vice Chancellor, Mr RG Lyngdoh, followed by the introduction of the yoga expert (Mrs Sharlene Das) by Ms Pamella Nonghuloo (Faculty MLCU).

Mrs Sharlene Das is trained in Hatha Yoga from Shivananda Ashram. She is a Certified Yoga Instructor under the International Yoga Alliance with the authority to teach anywhere in the World. A question and answer session was followed where the participants were allowed to ask questions in order to clarify any doubts they might have regarding Yoga. The participants actively asked questions and Mrs Sharlene clarified all the doubts. This was followed by a short dynamic meditation which lasted for 20 minutes and ended with a Sanskrit recitation.

The program ended with a vote of thanks which was delivered by Mrs Larilin Kharpuri, Deputy Registrar MLCU and it has been assured by the University that Yoga will be continued in the future.
