Dasgupta, Subhasish

Dr. Subhasish DasGupta  is an Associate Professor and also the HOD in the Department of Environment and Traditional Ecosystems. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy and has had experience Senior Member, “Pragya” (NGO), Gurgaon, Research Officer, Coordinator, Regional Centre, National Afforestation & Eco-Dev.Board. MoEF & CC, GOI, NEHU, Shg, and as an Senior Lecturer – Raid Laban College. He has published four papers.


Assistant Professor
Nongrum, Kitboklang

Dr. Nongrum is an assistant professor who joined Martin Luther Christian University in 2011. He was awarded PhD in Botany in 2013 by North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, Meghalaya. He specializes in Forestry, Environment Science, Ecology, Research Methods, Khasi Traditional Medicine and Indigenous Knowledge Systems.He was also a senior research fellow in Ecology/Forestry/Taxonomy in North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong and in Ecology/Forestry/Tree Improvement at Indian Council of Agricultural Research for NEH Region, Umiam.

Assistant Professor

Mr. Evan Diengdoh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environment and Traditional Ecosystems and has completed his Master in Social Work. He has had experience as a District Program Associate at Grassroots, Shillong.

Nongbri, Gardinia

Ms. Gardinia Nongbri is a Lecturer and has done her MSc in Environmental Studies from the University of Delhi.

Assistant Professor
Basaiawmoit, Ibanrilin Christy

Ms. Ibanrilin Christy Basaiawmoit is  NET qualified and completed her MSW from St. Edmund’s College, NEHU in  2011. She has had experience as State Mission Manager cum Assistant Project Manager at Meghalaya urban Development Agency from 2014- 2017.
