Assistant Professor

Basanshrieh, M, Grace

Ms. Basanshrieh lectures in Developmental Psychology, HIV/AIDS Counselling, Marriage & Family Therapy and takes Psychological Testings. She completed her Masters in Counseling Psychology from MLCU. She has completed her M.Phil in Community Mental Health. Ms. Basanshrieh conducted an Analytical study on Socio-demographic and clinical profile of patients attending a private psychiatric referral hospital in Meghalaya. She also has a Masters in Divinity from Lakeview Bible College and Seminary, Chennai.

Debbie Zothanpari

Dr. Zothanpari has completed her PhD in Psychology from MLCU, and MPhil in Psychology from Christ University, Bangalore and MSc in Counselling Psychology, Montfort College, Bangalore. Her interest area in counselling are young adults, family and couples. Currently pursuing her PhD on Experience of meaning in life. It’s an Existential approach looking at different levels of experience and existence that people are inevitably confronted. She teaches Individual counselling, Group counselling, Health Psychology and Developmental Psychology. Currently she is in the process of developing Play Therapy course.

Kharbhih ,Porsara Mesha J
Ms. Kharbhih has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counselling Psychology since August 2011. She lectures in Abnormal Psychology, Industrial Psychology,Research Methodology, Group Counselling Practical, Individual Counselling Practical, Research Group Supervision. She completed her MPhil in Community Mental Health from Martin Luther Christian University. She has had work experience as a counsellor in a College in Shillong and as a teacher in a school.

Khyriem, Bansara
Ms. Khyriem had been the University Counsellor since September 2014. She completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology from Martin Luther Christian University in the year 2012.

Lyngkhei, Alcydalyne


Ms. Alcydalyne Lyngkhei is a Lecturer in the Department of Counselling Psychology. She has completed her MPhil in Clinical Psychology. She has Worked as Adolescent Counsellor at Civil Hospital, Nongstoin (NHRM) and has also worked as Counsellor at the Dept of Social Welfare Observation Home cum Special Home and Shelter Home for Women in need of Care and Protection.

Kyndiah, Melissa Dora

Ms. Melissa Dora Kyndiah is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counselling Psychology. She has completed her M.Phil in Community Mental Health, and Masters in Counselling Psychology from MLCU. She has Worked as Counselling Psychologist at Sanker Mawroh,  (2014-17).

Wankhar , Aitihun M

Ms. Aitihun M Wankhar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counselling Psychology. She has completed her
M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from Ranchi University – 2016 and her M.Sc Clinical Psychology from RG University of Health Sciences-2013. She has worked as Counselling Psychologist at Sanker Mawroh,  (2016-17).

Mawrie, Yohana

Ms. Yohana Mawrie is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counselling Psychology. She has completed her
M.Sc Psychology, Christ University Bangalore-2012, and also her B.Ed,IGNOU-2017. She has worked as Teacher at Army Public School, Shillong, (April-Aug 2014),as Teacher at Sacred Heart Boys Hr. Sec. School,  (June 2014-July 2015) and as Teacher at Belfont, Shillong,  (May-June 2014).

Phira, Fricia Hepzibah

Ms. Fricia Hepzibah Phira is a lecturer in the Department of Counselling Psychology. She has completed her
M.Sc in Psychological Counselling from Christ University Bangalore-2013. She has worked as Student Counsellor at Synod Hr. Sec. School, Shillong,and at Khadsawphra Hr. Sec. School and as Senior R&D Associate at People Pro Trainers & Consultants Pvt Ltd, Bangalore.

Mathew, Alvin

Mr. Alvin Mathew has completed his M.Sc. in Counselling Psychology from Martin Luther Christian University and is currently pursuing his PhD Studies. He is also the University Counsellor.
