Sangma, V. Maribon
Dr. Sangma heads the Department of Counselling and Psychology; teaches papers on Research and Methodology, Child Psychology, Educational Counselling, Marriage and Family Therapy. She has completed a Master of Science degree in Counselling Psychology from MLCU and recently completed her PhD in Career Psychology with her topic: Career Orientations and Career Counselling: a school-based intervention study of rural and urban high school students in East Khasi Hills District, Meghalaya. She spearheaded the formation of the Meghalaya Association of Professional Counsellors (MAPC) a chapter of the Indian Association for Career and Livelihood Planning (IACLP). She is currently the President of MAPC, the Secretary of IACLP and a Volunteer Counselor of Serving in Mission, North East India (SIMNEI).
Basanshrieh, M, Grace
Ms. Basanshrieh lectures in Developmental Psychology, HIV/AIDS Counselling, Marriage & Family Therapy and takes Psychological Testings. She completed her Masters in Counseling Psychology from MLCU. She has completed her M.Phil in Community Mental Health. Ms. Basanshrieh conducted an Analytical study on Socio-demographic and clinical profile of patients attending a private psychiatric referral hospital in Meghalaya. She also has a Masters in Divinity from Lakeview Bible College and Seminary, Chennai.
Has completed her MPhil in Psychology, Christ University, Bangalore and MSc in Counselling Psychology, Montfort College, Bangalore. Her interest area in counselling are young adults, family and couples. Currently pursuing her PhD on Experience of meaning in life. It’s an Existential approach looking at different levels of experience and existence that people are inevitably confronted. She teaches Individual counselling, Group counselling, Health Psychology and Developmental Psychology. Currently she is in the process of developing Play Therapy course.
Kharbhih ,Porsara Mesha J
Ms. Kharbhih has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counselling Psychology since August 2011. She lectures in Abnormal Psychology, Industrial Psychology,Research Methodology, Group Counselling Practical, Individual Counselling Practical, Research Group Supervision. She completed her MPhil in Community Mental Health from Martin Luther Christian University. She has had work experience as a counsellor in a College in Shillong and as a teacher in a school.
Ms. Longkumer is an Assistant Professor in the Counselling Psychology Department of Martin Luther Christian University since September 2014. She lectures in Basic Psychological Processes, Health Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Individual Counselling, and Group Counsellling. She completed her Masters in Psychology from CMR College Autonomous, Bangalore. She has had work experience as the District Community Mobiliser, in charge of ASHA Programme (Dimapur ) ,under Dept. of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland. (2012-2013).
Ms. Khyriem is the University Counsellor since September 2014. She completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology from Martin Luther Christian University in the year 2012.
Ms. Neha Dhar is a lecturer. She has done her MA in Psychology. She has had 5 years working experiences with different organizations (Hewitt Associates, Envigo Marketing, TMRC impact, Purple Audacity) as Research Associates, Marketing Strategists, Insights & Realization Executive, Consultant.
Ms. Alcydalyne Lyngkhei is a Lecturer in the Department of Counselling Psychology. She has completed her MPhil in Clinical Psychology. She has Worked as Adolescent Counsellor at Civil Hospital, Nongstoin (NHRM) and has also worked as Counsellor at the Dept of Social Welfare Observation Home cum Special Home and Shelter Home for Women in need of Care and Protection.
